The Intersection of Business, Compliance, and Legal

At Jamison Legal & Compliance Services, LLC, your issues are my issues. With a lengthy career working in-house in the financial services industry, I know firsthand the litany of regulations the industry must comply with and I know you can always expect more. I also can relate to the challenges associated with finding and engaging outside counsel to help navigate these regulations. Even if your firm can afford to pay exorbitant outside counsel fees, it should not be mandatory. For practical, reasonable, and understandable advice that won't break the bank, give me a call.

About JLC

With Jamison Legal & Compliance Services, LLC, you should expect practical, reasoned, and clear advice on your firm's most complex legal and regulatory issues. JLC provides businesses with the benefit of outside counsel, but with an in-house mindset. All without having to break the bank.

JLC's founder, Jodi Jamison, is a seasoned in-house counsel with significant regulatory experience. She understands the tensions between the business, Compliance, and Legal that often exist, and will help your firm navigate these tricky dynamics. Not prone to "overylawyering," Ms. Jamison understands that sometimes the business just wants a "yes" or "no" and that time is ALWAYS of the essence.

JLC can help you if you're a small start up or corporate behemoth, as Ms. Jamison has experience in both environments, and recognizes that a one size approach does not fit all. As a former in-house counsel, Ms. Jamison understands the importance of keeping outside counsel expenses to a minimum and is able to offer reasonable rates based on the type of work required and can negotiate project-specific fee arrangements in advance to help businesses manage costs.

At JLC, our goal is to help our clients succeed, because if you succeed, we succeed.

Jodi Jamison

Founder & President

Most recently, Jodi Jamison was the General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer of ETC, a small clearing firm, where she worked closely with all lines of business and handled all manner of legal and regulatory issues. Prior to her tenure at ETC, she was with BNY Mellon and PNC Financial Services in various roles, including, serving as Chief Legal Officer for five broker-dealers. In her roles in-house she has leveraged her experience and connections from her ten years at the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she worked in OCIE and the Division of Enforcement. Born and reared in Georgia, she stayed home to pursue a degree in Finance from the University of Georgia, and then her law degree from Georgia State University. She's the first in her family to attend college and worked to put herself through school. Having taken the New York bar just out of law school, her goal was always to make it to New York, which she (finally) did in 2016. She's not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get dirty. Ms. Jamison is a fierce advocate with excellent communication skills, which allows her to build consensus and get things accomplished.
